The fields of Punjab religions needs a contextualized glossary/dictionary of terms. This can help us understand what XYZ means when she uses the epithet ABC for GOD, as opposed what WXY means? How does a term's meaning change over time or in different contexts (even from the same writer).

What matters? Studying what will make a difference? Leaving what works behind will leave a legacy?

Does making a seven figure salary matter? Does healing a broken arm matter? A broken heart? Head? Should one dedicate oneself to repairing psyche's or institutions or legal precedences?

In this Dark Age, let the question "why" be your compass, and the records of people --great and small, past and present-- be your territory. Be a conquistador of ideas, but rule gently and wisely, having imbibed the fruits of your conquests.

Studying thought and actions matter, therefore studying religion matters. Poking at the limits of our social constructions matters, therefore studying the boundaries of another society's limits matters.
